As part of the workshop, writers were asked to write 10 word plays. Here’s a selection that were then filmed, edited and shown during the evening’s performance.

DAISY: Sicho.
ROY: Don’t
leave me.
DAISY: Bye
ROY: Slut.
(shouts) SLUT!
Daisy kisses Roy then exits.

Character A is running from SL to SR and touching the ground
at each end.
Character B is sitting trying to read. He/she’s frustrated
by the noise.
After some time…
B: Stop!
A: 2008.
Beijing. Gold.
B: (slaps
forehead)
Character A goes back to running. B tried to read. B gets up and stops A.
B: (indicating
book) Please…
A: (sighs)
B goes back to reading. A lies down on back and does leg exercises.
A: Gold!
(madly straining under the effort)
B: (sighs)
A: (to
give them strength to keep going…) Gold!
B: (exasperated) …Dickens!
B gets up. Looks at A. He/she is leaving. Cannot stand it.
B: Good
luck.
(exits)
